Review: In one week in France, I had to watch at least one French movie. French movies are quite rare in German movie theaters. The plot is typically French. A group of friends talking about life. Here in particular about the way they live their mid-life crisis: separation from partner, distance from partner or friends, different ways of friendship. Nothing very original, but funny and interesting.
The acting of Lambert Wilson and Florence Foresti is very good and convincing. Their roles take also more volume along the movie than the other roles. Especially the pronounciation by and the eloquence of Lambert Wilson are remarkable. Surprising is the quiet role of Frank Dubosc. The other roles get smaller and smaller so that the actors cannot really show anything. The directing does not show much originality but satisfies the goals of showing properly the characters.
Rating: 4 /10
