JoRafCinema shares with you this festival and shared with the festival one short film in the frame of the section Klappe! that is of course referenced. As usual we report also the movies, the venues, some side events. And this might motivate you to go to this young and small festival.

Venues
There are several venues dedicated to the Filmfest Bremen. Most of them have been already mentioned in one or many reviews as one of both feet of JoRafCinema is settled in Breme such as Atlantis, City46 and the very often mentioned Schauburg. On top of real movie theaters, the Filmfest used the Theater am Goetheplatz and its adjacent café Noon to project movies. Everything is connected in few minutes by foot or by bike or by tram.

What we watched
JoRafCinema watched very few movies, many short movies and went to the Klappe! party. You can search all movies watched by JoRafCinema in the Filmfest Bremen 2018 by searching FFB2018.

I watched the following movies:
  • Short film competition Klappe! including 35 movies among them Fly me to the Moon
  • Short films on Space, including Stella 1, Tomaten im Weltall and Raumfahrt in Bremen
  • Panel on Directing and Acting
  • El revenge, Brasilian/Argentinian comedy by Fernando Fraiha
  • Patrimony, Czech comedy by Jiri Vejdelek
  • Award ceremony for all competitions, Comedy (Humor/Satire in German), Innovation, Bremen as movie and short,

Conclusion
There are quite a lot of shorts and very few movies per competition type. I would be happy to see more movies from the Innovation branch next time, which are experimenting with the media such as VR and 360° cameras. And on that topic I remember great experiences in the Nordic Film Days!
