Review: I mistook the Vietnamese Bitcoin Heist for a martial arts movie as some that have been emerging from that country and presented at the Udine Far East film Festival over the past years. While I fact it is mix between a Mission: Impossible and Now You See Me. It visually looks as serious as its American counterparts even in the action scenes although they are of course of a more limited scale. And you can see that the story tries to take example on its masters, in which it succeeds because it ends up being as confusing! Also slightly too long and slowing down in the middle. But the main characters are well defined and we get to like them, even when their reactions don't always make sense. Anyway, Bitcoin Heist in in the end not so bad for a country that doesn't export too many movies. It is actually the first one reviewed on JoRafCinema. |
