Review: Director Mitchell Altieri, one of the two Butcher Brothers that directed the esteemed The Hamiltonians and The Violent Kind, seems to be the new name in the sub-genre of the low-budget horrific comedy, at the level of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil to give you any idea with a more known movie. See also The Night Watchmen presented at the same FANTASPOA 2017 festival.
This movie is centered on the two dumb brothers who manage to keep us entertained for 90 minutes in spite of a relatively basic story. They are helped in that by the victim who takes an increasing role, and some apparitions by their gay landlord, responsible for the memorable and ridiculous quote about women: "I don't trust something that bleeds for five days and lives". And that's about it.
Most of the movie takes place in a warehouse, with the two brothers running after or from somebody, and just being stupid for our entertainment. Stay until the end credits to see what the trailer of their snuff movie looks like.
Rating: 6 /10
