Review: I thought this could be a cheap movie, not very funny and using the name of Van Damme to attract audience, but I was wrong. Five minutes of the movie may remind of TropicThunder but no more. Adam Brody plays very well the young and shy but ressourceful man, in love with one of his colleagues but abused by the others because he is too nice. In the end the movie is about him becoming more overbearing and discovering what he really wants from his life.
Meanwhile, we laugh at some funny and sometime dumb situations, when the movie takes an unexpected and completely unrealistic turn. There are some lengths in the middle of the movie due to a lack of ideas but this is quickly passed.
Van Damme is there for his muscles of course but we also see another side of him, light and self-mocking. Note that his son Kristopher Van Varenberg plays a small role here, like in a few other movies starring his father (Universal Soldier 4 & 5).
Rating: 7 /10
