Synopsis: Retired C.I.A. agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device.
Review: This sequel of RED plays a bit more on the apparently innocence of older people, especially Helen Mirren. The efforts on binding relationships between characters is also higher than in the first RED, especially the rivality between Zeta-Jones and Parker. In general, the scenery and acting are quite good. Nevertheless the continuous travelling from A to B around the world and continuous action scenes do not let much space for developping story and characters. This makes the characters becoming caricatures with one or two aspects.
Rating: 5 /10

  1. After a first RED not really convincing to me (see review here), I watched anyway this second movie on 26.05.2013 in HD VOD on my Home cinema. My review could be the same, escept that the retired agents fly across the world instead of driving across the USA. The jokes never made me laugh. The kind of referencial cinema around stars reminds me of Ocean's Eleven. Only Stephen Hopkins manages to deliver a good performance. My rating: even lower than for the first movie: 3/10.
