Review: Now that we have spent three season learning to know and appreciate the characters of the series, it is all too easy for its producters to keep us attached to the show by hurting those characters we like. Coming back to Charming after the voyage of season three is welcome but the struggle with the police and the more and more dangerous bandits tastes like deja-vu, even if the stakes are higher and higher. One good thing is that Jax starts to think again about ways to improve the Club, but his attachement to his family and the density of events doesn't let him much time for planning.
It seems that we now know the background story of all main characters; as it was the turns of Chibs in season three, this time it was about Juice, Otto and a bit Tig. There are some nice surprises and twists in the story but some other events are far-fetched (especially the one with Juice).
I will take another break before watching season five, and maybe start Stephen King's Under the Dome in between.
Rating: 5 /10
