Review: As I was in Paris for that day, I decided to go to one of my favourite movie theaters of Paris, which is always presenting very special and fine movies. This one is indeed very fine. The beginning looked very Nouvelle vague, almost the same title font as À bout de souffle by Godard. The movie is in a very nice and clean black&white without being arty. I liked the style almost Nouvelle Vague that does not look just old fashion.
The story is the classical simple adultery. The man is the classical man who does not show much emotion nor interest in the two women. Both women are more emotional and involved in the relation and stick to their word. From the authentic and simple story telling it reminds Eric Rohmer. For that I liked the movie. As almost nothing is happening, the format of only 1h13 is just fine for the movie. Actually additional material could have been included to build a stronger story or deeper characters. Too bad!
