Review: I wanted absolutely to watch indigene movies in the Berlinale 2015. Especially after having missed the Bolivian one! The story of this old craftsman shows a nice tradition. As a documentary I would have expected that these traditions would be deeper described or the life of this old man would be told. Unfortunately the story is kept flat around the rope making and the different steps of making it. And this very slowly, at the rythm of the old man. The landscape is presented as hot and slow which fits to the story.
Thus interesting movie but disappointing to me.
