Review: As explained in the article on the Far East FilmFestival 2006 in Udine, this movie changed the way I watch movies and opened me the world of Asian movies.
The story is completely crazy and original. The directing is also crazy and original. Plenty of references to the Thai culture and daily life and politics (a sosie of the Thai prime minister at that time) and to the Western pop culture. The characters are very caricatural and fit to the story so well that I laughed to death. The acting exagerates the characters to continue on one guidance of the viewers. The music is interesting and showed me how much songs are important in Asian movies. The directing is very creative with the plenty of colours, sometimes even psychedelic, with a very dynamic cut reminding Snatch by Guy Ritchie, and with a very wide humour (situation, character, double meaning dialogue, cultural references). This is a cult movie.
Rating: 8 /10
