Year of first release: 2003

Actors: Cameron Diaz (Something about Mary), Drew Barrymore (E.T., Scream), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill)

Synopsis: Charlie's Angels (Barrymore, Liu, Diaz) are still private investigators at the top of their game. They are asked to recover a list of people under witness protection programme.
Review: McG shot this second movie in the same video clip style as he did the first. The special effects are still poor, the stunts unrealistic, and the music poorly chosen (I like Prodigy but three of their songs in the same movie is too much!). He also keeps on shooting the ass of the main actresses.
The story is however slightly improved compared to the first movie: some of the characters have a bit more depth (Dylan has doubts about the future of the Angels...), but most of the movie is still braindead.
There is a great deal of known faces in this movie: Bernie Mac that you have briefly seen in Transformers, Demi Moore, a brief apparition by her ex-husband Bruce Willis, the T1000 of Terminator 2 Robert Patrick, Crispin Glover is shortly seen and looks even more sick than before, John Cleese from the Monty Pythons, Matt le Blanc from Friends. We could also see Tommy Flanagan who will become a main character in the Sons of Anarchy TV-series, and Shia La Boeuf (Transformers 1-3, Indiana Jones 4) already playing a nervous kid, but with a terrible sheepish haircut.
A movie not easy to watch (sometimes it hurts both eyes and ears) and easy to forget.
Rating: 4 /10
