Synopsis: This time Indiana Jones (Ford) will be sent on an adventure to both discover a sacred artifact (The Holy Graal) and rescue his father (Connery) at the same time | |
Review: The best in this movie is the relationship between Indiana Jones and his father Henry, a very serious man that has let him discover life alone, and to whom he has barely spoken in twenty years. The search for the Holy Graal is what could bring them closer. The episode shows similarities with the first one in the religious background for the quest (Graal vs. Arch of Alliance), the enemies (Nazis), the locations (North-East Africa) and part of the cast (Elliot and Rhys-Davies). What makes it original and complementary to the others is once again the father-son relationship played beautifully by Ford and especially the regretted Sean Connery, wonderful in seriousness and humour at the same time. We see the father discover how his adventurous son lives, and the son understand and embrace the father's quest. The rest of the movie is filled with car, motorbike, planes and Zeppelin, horse and tanks chases, fistfights... Everything to make a good adventure movie like Spielberg knew how to do. Image quality is equal or maybe a little lower compared to the two oter movies. |
