Dear Cinephiles,

A low number of reviews this month, but justified by the fact that we spent time watching the whole three seasons of the excellent modern adaptation Sherlock (season 1, season 2, season 3), and the Extended versions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King).
Some movies we can highly recommend: Fargo by the Coen brothers that we wished to see again after the recent TV-series with the same title, the cult 1973 The Wicker Man and Birdman currently shown in the theaters.
A few other remarkable movies we have seen include Nicolas Winding Refn's first American movie Drive, Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, Patriot Games with Harrison Ford and Stephen Hawking's biography The Theory of Everything.
