Dear Cinephiles,
JoRafCinema closes the year with the report on the BARS2016 (Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre festival) for which many movies had been reviewed in November. As new releases, only Arrival managed to convince both of us thanks to its amazing story and acting, while we only mildly liked Jodie Foster's Money Monster.
Our spirit was more tending to retrospectives with some pearls like the great French polar Le Pacha, the revolutionary spaghetti western A Fistful of Dollars by Sergio Leone, the fascinating 90s Thriller The Game and the original super-hero movie Kick-Ass.
Among older releases also liked John Carpenter's little known Memoirs of an Invisible Man, the humane disaster movie Deep Impact, the French energetic comedy Les Anges Gardiens and Clint Eastwood as secret service agent in In the Line of Fire.
Related to our passion we enjoyed the documentary Cosmos: a Spacetime Odyssey that we warmly recommend.
