Review: I read some good about this movie in my Mad Movies magazines, and it was said to be revolutionary, or at the very least the best Anime of 2009. So I was a bit dissapointed when I saw it. For me the best in this movie is the juxtaposition between the traditionnal family reunion and the chaos that is spreading throught the network. As usual in Japanese Anime, teenagers are going to save the day. Maybe the meaning of the movie is that it is still good to keep traditions in our modern world, because when technology fails we can still talk to each other... Anyway, I was not impressed by the story like I was with Ghost in the Shell, by the magic like I was in Princess Mononoke or by the graphics like I was in Steamboy. |
