Dear Cinephiles,
as promised in October and after several quiet months, JoRafCinema comes back in strength in November thanks to long flights and the Nordic Film Days Lübeck where the best movies were the Norwegian Her er Harold, the Icelandic Those who dare - On solidarity of small nations, the Estonian null.punkt, the Finnish Miekkaillja / Vehkleja (The Fencer), the Danish Thriller Bridgend and Drama I dine haender (In your Arms).
We can strongly advise the recent release Me and Earl and the dying girl and the slightly older German movie Hannah Arendt.
We loved watching again An American Werewolf in Paris, The Sixth Sense, Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers and the three Back to the Future movies (Part I, Part II, Part III) but not so much the related recent documentary Back in Time.
In the Animation section we loved Bolt and Inside Out, a little less How to Train your Dragon and not so much Despicable me, its sequel and spin-off Minions.
Jo&Raf
