Dear Cinephiles,
because of common holidays to catch the stars (see picture below), we didn't get the time to catch many movies or series in March... but we found some good in most of the ones we saw.
The Documentary mini-series the Toys that made us is an interesting piece of American pop culture history. The first season of Sense8 by the Wachowskis is a solid combination of Drama an Thriller peppered with some Fantasy. We loved the Fantastic Thriller Midnight Special for its original and efficient story deserved by good actors.
Among recent releases, we found several meanings to The Florida Project including the one of free childhood, appreciated Call me by your Name although it may not please everyone, and continued to admire Guillermo del Toro with The Shape of Water.
Finally we took a guilty pleasure watching together Pacific Rim: Uprising even if not as much as the first one.
