Dear Cinephiles,

we are happy to conclude the year 2017 with a number of 255 posts stabilized with respect to the previous year, at more than 20 posts per month in average.
Among recent releases this month we have both seen Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi and found it between average and fine. On the contrary we loved the long-awaited sequel Blade Runner 2049 by one of our favorite directors Denis Villeneuve.
We have released a summary article on the Nordic Film Days Lübeck and kept on reviewing the movies seen there, like the black comedy Undir trénu (Under the Tree) or Kaiken se estää (Star Boys) about sexual revolution in Finland in the 70's.
We started to watch the British Anticipation TV-series Black Mirror and loved its first two seasons, and could appreciate the 2008 adrenaline-filled Wanted by Russian director Timur Bekmambetov.
From the 80's we liked the French Comedy Les Fugitifs and the classic James Bond For Your eyes Only. Even older, it was a pleasure to re-discover Charlie Chaplin's hit Modern Times.

We wish you a great cinematographic year 2018 !!!

Jo&Raf
