Dear Cinephiles,
Greetings LIVE from the 16th edition of the Far East Film Festival for Popular Asian Cinema in Udine, Italy.
We have been actively preparing our visit to this Festival during the month of April by publishing our recollection of all the previous editions we have visited from 2005 to 2011. The Asian movies we have watched at home were not of the best: The Great Yokai War and Adrift in Tokyo but the FEFF2014 is not yet finished and we will keep you informed about all the movies we are watching. The first half of the festival was marked by many poor to average movies but a few remarkable ones like Personal Tailor from China, The Attorney from South Korea and The Journey from Malaysia.
Besides Asia in the month of April, we have watched some oldies like The Man Who Knew too Much by Hitchcock, The Towering Inferno with Paul Newman and Steve McQueen and The Conversation by Francis Ford Copolla. Among more recent movies, our favorites were Ondine, Goodfellas and Kevin Smith's Clerks 2 and Mallrats.
Have fun in reading about the FEFF2014, the previous Far East Film Festivals and the upcoming movies.
Jo&Raf
