Dear Cinephiles,
The marking cinematographic event of the past weeks was JoRafCinema's participation to the Festival San Sebastian / Donostia Zinemaldia 2014. The most striking movies that we recommend to everybody independently from your taste (some already mentioned in the September Newsletter): Refugiado, Relatos salvajes, La Salada, Ciencias naturales, Kak menya zovut, Cain's Children and Kis uykusu.
In October we have continued our series of Hitchcock and Miyazaki movies with respectively Vertigo and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and appreciated the award-winners Saving Private Ryan and Brokeback Mountain.
The two co-bloggers may have shared different opinions on In the Mood for Love and the freshly released What we do in shadows, they both admitted the guilty pleasure of watching Independence Day.
Other oldies included the classic Jean-Claude Van Damme 80's Action flick Kickboxer, and the unknown yet brilliant Knightriders from George A. Romero.
Among recent release, only Fading Gigolo retained our attention.
JoRafCinema is currently represented at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck about which you will find a full report in the coming month. You can already read the first reviews.
