Dear Cinephiles,

we have been pretty quiet over the past three months: few posts, few movies seen, not all very good, and no newsletter. Let's get back on tracks!
In the August newsletter we had teased our six-year anniversary Article published in September, that you shouldn't miss.
Shortly after we published a report on the Filmfest Bremen 2018 where you can learn that the selection of Short films contained a movie directed by one of us: Fly me to the Moon.
The best movies we have recently seen were European: the Norwegian Drama Norwegian Føniks (Phoenix) seen at the Nordic Film Days Lübeck 2018 (report coming soon), the excellent Danish Thriller Den Skyldige (The guilty), the German Gundermann with interesting insights on people's struggle in former GDR, and the brilliant Werk ohne Autor (Never look away, Opera senza autore), highly recommended to either fans of contemporary artists, historians, and historian philosophers (amateurs included).
We laughed at the Brazilian/Argentinian La vingança (El revenge).
Two noticeable American animated TV-series are the mildly entertaining Disenchantment created by Matt 'The Simpsons' Groening and the outrageous Paradise PD meant for open-minded adults only.
Finally, the USA also brought us the excellent Dramatic Comedy BlackkKlansman directed by Spike Lee, and the mysterious SF Thriller The Endless.
