| Review: Cobra looks like a comic book version of Dirty Harry with this cartoonesque hero using extreme force to neutralize hordes of criminals, never removing his sunglasses, driving an original car and using customized weapons. I also got some vibes of Death Wish with Charles Bronson, of The Warriors and of John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13, because of the hordes of faceless attackers. I liked the 80's way of shooting the movie, the music, clothes and all this nostalgia. Beyond that, the movie and in particular its story are a lot of nonsense. I recommend to watch it only if you like Action movies from that period and/or Stallone. |
