Synopsis: A family of comedians travels from town to town in the Spain of the 40's and 50's. Life gets very tough for them since cinema is getting more popular. This is the end of an era. | |
Review: The movie is a bit like the story that it wants to tell. The actors can be eloquent and convincing, the story can be interesting, but it is not enternaining. I do not find a good rythm and some scenes are if not superfluous at least too long. There is a lack of a fitting music or sound track and of better technology to produce an image with more personality. Otherwise, the story would have the nostalgic charm of some scenes of movies like Always - Sunset on third street. The young actor playing the sudden son is very bad compared with his father in particular and the rest of the family in general. |
