Dear Cinephiles,
in August we celebrated the 4th anniversary of JoRafCinema with a summary article that you cannot miss.
We have then reviewed the first season of the excellent political TV-series House of Cards with Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Leigh, as well as the long-awaited Ash vs. Evil Dead with Bruce Campbell.
The best movie we have seen this month is by far the original and touching Maggie's Plan with Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke and Julianne Moore, and there were actually not many other good ones apart from the Kiwi Mahana.
Acceptable movies were the comedy A Million Ways to die in the West with Seth McFarlane humor, the piece of History in Race, the original German Toni Erdmann, Our Brand is Crisis with Sandra Bullock and The 33 about the 2010 Copiapo Mining incident in Chile.
Looking forward to a September better than August.
Jo&Raf
